Legal Stuff

This comic is based on a work of fiction, which is based on two different fictional worlds, created by different groups and owned by their respective creators. Most of the main characters come from the anime Gundam Wing, which is one is a long string of popular mech anime series. Arguably, even Gundam Wing is based off another series. The universe that Wufei enters into is taken from David Weber's Oath of Swords series, which owes more than a little to other fantasy authors, especially Tolkien.

So what's the point?

This is a third-hand intellectual work - possibly even fourth or fifth hand. I really don't own any of the intellectual content. Oh, wait. Those remarks that my chibi makes? Yeah. Those are mine. It's non-profit - I make no money at all from the little banner you see at the top of the pages. (Go on, click it anyway. Make Keenspace a few cents. They give space to starving pseudo-artists like me.)

Matters of Taste

Ah, the carnal delights that the media can offer us. You want titillation? Me, too. And if you find that video of Zechs showering, you know where to get a good price for it. Here, however, you'll only find as much sex, violence, and drugs as I can get away with, given the material I have to work with.

Mel and Christy don't do lemons. (That's explicit sex scenes, for the uninitiated.) Since there won't be any in the story, there won't be any in the main part of the comic - the part that appears on the front page. If I feel like it, and I get lots of nice requests, I might do a couple lemons and tuck them away in another section. That way, people can choose to look at them or not. As far as other "recreational" activities, the only drug use I expect is pain pills for legitimate reasons. There'll also be some kissing, touching, etc.

As far as violence goes, people do die. Some of them die in particularly nasty ways. As artist, my goal is not to disgust people or gross them out - but I'm not going to completely avoid the nasty bits, either. Does that sound waffley? Good.

A special warning for those readers who haven't shuttled directly from Mel and Christy's site: Most of the main characters are involved (or get involved) in homosexual relationships. Anybody who finds that creepy/immoral/boring/old hat is welcome to go find another webcomic. Go to www.keenspace.com. There are thousands there to choose from, many with other disturbing themes.
